Radio Service:

Kongu FM Community Radio Service has been on air at 90.4 MHz from January 2005. An FM radio transmitter with a power of 50 watts and a tower with a height of 30 m has been set up. Programmes like Lectures, Seminars, Conferences, Skit and topics on Community Development are being broadcast in local language.

Recent development:

Recently, a sum of Rs.16 lakhs has been sanctioned by the Department of Science and Technology under Rashtriya Vigyan Evam Proyogiki Samachar Parishad Scheme (RVPSP) for broadcasting daily, a programme on “Science for Women” for 1 year and this project has been inaugurated on Tamil New Year’s Day on 14 th April 2007.
