Hi, guys today I am going to introduce about the top college of Anna University and also affliated to it .(PANIMALAR COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING).This college is located in capital of Tamil Nadu. Usually after anna university seats are filled, students choose this college for their carrier since it provides excellent coaching for the B.tech students and also they provide excellent job opportunites to the students.
THIS COLLEGE PROVIDES SCOLARSHIP FOR THE FIRST THREE RANK HOLDERS

Students of CUT OFF MARKS 197.5 marks to 194 marks can get seats in this college. And it also provides management seats. Now currently admission is going on.

Students those who are applying for the management seat should have percentage more than 70% in the 12th public examination or else their seat will be rejected and money will be given back.

Dr. Jeppiaar, a man of success and a wide-angled ideology is the chancellor of Sathyabama University . He is a leading educationist, industrialist, and philanthropist who has left an indelible mark in the field of politics under ex-Chief Minister Dr. M.G. Ramachandran's leadership.

He is noted for thinking ahead of times and for his progressive plans that are a unique combination of vision, effective management and the spirit of promoting technical education. He has dedicated himself completely for promoting technical education and to spread knowledge amongst the youth of India .
He has also served as Chairman of Metro Water Board, Chennai and is serving as an Advocate in Chennai High Court. ADMISSION :
Eligibility criteria for securing an admission to B.E/B.Tech/MBA/MCA course at the Panimalar Engineering College would be the following (english medium)
For Higher Secondary students:
Candidates seeking an admission to B.E/B.Tech courses should have complied with the norms prescribed by the Government of Tamilnadu. The norms would be the marks secured in the higher secondary board examinations and the marks obtained from competitive exams such as TNPCEE.
As per the present standards the minimum marks applicable for H.Sc Academic and Vocational students is an aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry and Vocational subjects put together should be:





Diploma Holders:
Diploma Holders seeking an admission to B.E/B.Tech courses should have the following minimum aggregate in the 5th & 6th semesters. For Diploma holders (Second year admission) there will be no qualifying age limit.




Candidates other than SC/ST:
Candidates belonging to communities other than SC/ST should have passed the qualifying examination in not more than 2 appearances and only the first improvement will be considered. The age limit for the candidates other than SC/ST is 21 years at the time of admission (1st July of the respective academic year).
Foreign Students:
Foreign students seeking admission to B.E/B.Tech courses should have passed the equivalent of the +2 examination, in their respective country. Anna University has to approve this examination and issue an eligibility certificate endorsing the same.

MCA Admission:

A candidate who has a qualified Bachelor Degree in any discipline with Mathematics as one of the subjects at Higher Secondary level (+2 level in the 10+2 pattern) is eligible for seeking admission for the MCA program. The duration of the course is 3 years consisting of six semesters.
MBA Admission:
A candidate seeking admission to MBA should have a qualified Bachelor Degree from any recognized University. The duration of the course is 2 years consisting of four semesters.

OBJECTIVE:

Of the many engineering disciplines, Mechanical Engineering is the broadest, encompassing a wide variety of engineering fields and many specialties. The mechanical engineers are employed in an enormous range of technical areas including: acoustics, air-conditioning, automatic controls, computer-aided design, energy management, fluid dynamics, robotics, biomechanics and turbo machinery, just to name a few. Mechanical engineering is a challenging, rewarding and highly respected profession.
The department of Mechanical Engineering at Panimalar Engineering College with its commitment to excellence educates the engineers of tomorrow by integrating classroom theory and practical hands-on projects, and also by emphasizing the process of learning and critical thinking by conducting industrial visits.
The teaching and research programs in the department are organized according to both disciplinary and inter-disciplinary themes. A research centre has been established to identify innovations in Mechanical Engineering and to alter the existing technology in a sophisticated manner. An experimental setup for analyzing the flue gas is carried out as part of research program. Apart from the research quite a few project works are performed at the laboratories. Namely, performance analysis of I-C engine using different fuel mixture, theoretical modeling and analysis super alloy, materials, intelligent modeling and optimization of turning using tool steel.

To promote a spirit of continuous learning among its students the Panimalar College assures peaceful and enriching hours in the library. One of the major highlights of the Panimalar College is its 18000 sq.ft air conditioned central library that has a seating capacity of 152. It has about 25465 volumes and 5746 titles of books that value around Rs. 76.06 lakhs. In addition to which, the library also subscribes to 125 International and National journals and periodicals. In this fully automated library, students and staff members can search for books by author, title or subject heading and their availability. Each student is given 4 library books at a time and they have allocated library hours/week. A fully equipped conference hall is also available in the central library. The Panimalar Library is an institutional member of prestigious libraries such as the British Council Library and Indest Consortium, AICTE Delhi.

Leave Regulations:
All students should make note of the following leave regulations and are expected to abide by these rules while they apply for leave.

To avail one day:
For medical leave, the Medical Certificate should be enclosed along with the leave letter signed by the parent.

To avail two days:
Leave letter should be submitted on the previous day itself with the parent’s signature.
(or)
Leave letter should be submitted on the first day of leave through anyone of his/her friends.
(or)
Parents may make a phone call to the office and inform the respective attendance in charge, regarding their ward’s leave.
For medical leave, the Medical Certificate should be enclosed along with the leave letter, signed by the parent.

Three days and above:
For any family function or other medical/health reasons the parent should come in person and avail the leave from the respective attendance in charge. Otherwise, the administration will be constrained to remove the student from the college.

General:

If the leave taking exceeds 6 days per year, it will be viewed seriously. If the college sends a telegram regarding the leave and other disciplinary issues to the family of the student, then the parents are requested to come in person and report at the college office. Guardians are not permitted; failure to report may result in removal of student’s name from the attendance register.
All requisition letters for leave, medical certificate, permission, hostel matters including permission and leave should be addressed to the Principal. Students should take prior permission before absenting from the class, failure of which will be viewed seriously and the parents will be informed of the same.
College Timings
College timings are from 8.00 a.m to 3.15 p.m. Students are not permitted entry in to the campus after 7.40 a.m and are also not allowed to leave the college before 3.15 pm. Visitors to meet students are strictly not allowed during the college hours.

All students in the campus should be neatly dressed. All boys are expected to wear self colored pants with their shirts neatly tucked in. They should wear shoes only (Sports shoes and Slippers are not permitted). All girls should be dressed in Salwar Kameez with V shaped dhupata.
