INTRO ABOUT THE COLLEGE:
Gayathri vidya parishad college of Engineering (Autonomous) is one of the top most engineering colleges in Andrapradesh. Students are admitted here through the common entrance test conducted by the Andhra Government. The college also provides management seats for the benefit of the students.

Prof.Dr.N.S.V.V.S.J.Gandhi is present principal of GVP College of Engineering. The college Support for improving qualifications of faculty and research. About 30% of the faculty are Doctorates and another 30% are working for doctoral degrees. The members of the governing body of GVP College of Engineering are as follows.

INFO ABOUT EACH DEPARTMENT:
ELECTRONICS AND COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING:
The Electronics and communication Engineering Department of the College was started in the year 2000.
With a student intake of 120 every year, the department maintains a healthy student to faculty ratio of 15:1. With well equipped laboratories and remarkable guidance of the pedagogy, the students achieved excellent results in academics as well as extracurricular activities.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY:
The department of Information Technology was established in the year 1999 with an intake of 40. The intake was increased to 60 from the year 2000. The department was accredited by NBA in the year 2006 for 3years. The intake was increased to 90 from the year 2008.A post graduate course in Software Engineering has been introduced with an annual intake of 18 in the year 2008.The department has 19 faculty members.

LIBRARY:
The Library has adopted open system. The Books are arranged as Text Books (Issue Books) and Reference Books (only for Reading) and Book Bank Books for (weaker section) given by Government of Andhra Pradesh.. The books acquired are accessioned, classified and catalogued. After processing, the list books are displayed for 1 Month and these lists are labelled as "NEW ARRIVALS”. The library receives 15 Magazines and 8 Newspapers (National and Regional) and Employment News that provide latest Information regarding Job Opportunities to the user community.
TRANSPORT:
•A separate mini bus brings the Associate Professors to the college.
•A separate A/c Bus brings the Senior Professors & Professors to the college.
•A separate trip for students after regular college hours for sports.
•A separate trip for students at 7:00 P.M. from library.
•A separate trip for students for library on every Saturday and Sunday.
