ABOUT CHARUSAT:

Charotar Institute of Technology - Changa is the first institute established in year 2000 at Education Campus – Changa (now CHARUSAT).

The institute is managed through a think tank of technocrats, administrators, scientists and engineers, educationalist, businessmen, stakeholders and other well-wishers from all parts of the world.

The journey started in the year 2000, with only 240 students, 4 programs, 1 institute and an investment of Rs. 3 Crores.

Whereas, today, there are 16 different UG and PG Programs with 3000 students enrolled in 7 different Institutes.

There is also an R&D Centre conducting research in the emerging sciences like Nanotechnology, Biotechnology, etc.

These development activities have an investment of Rs. 50 Crores (500 Million INR).

All of the above institutes and programs now come to fall under ambit of CHARUSAT.

It has an excellent collection of both print and electronic books, journals, technical reports, back volumes and other reading material.

The Resource Center contains 33,000 books, access to 450 online journals, 300 ebooks, 2200 CS’s.

The KRC maintains a e resource access center containing 25 computer terminals for the students in which they can access national and international e resources namely IEEE, ASME, AIP, IOP, IPS, CITC library database containing e books, journals, Cd’s, Project Reports, Syllabus, University Exam papers through ftp.

Moreover separate computer terminals provide to students with CD writer and USB port for their presentation of seminar, project work and day to day work.

Student Housing is available at the CHARUSAT owned hostel (for girls) and at other 5 privately owned hostels adjacent to campus.

CHARUSAT’s cricket and football teams have won several state level championships.
