We all know that day to day life wants only engineers. so even students wish the same . To settle easily in life engineering is the shortest way. Like wise today i am posting a new college for your reference(i.e) Akshya Engineering college. This is a new college there study before few years. But it made such achievement to bring its name in the society. So students in that city will avare of this college. Hope so it is good one. The famous department over here is mechanical department. It has nice lab facilities and also excellent lecturers. It also provides seats to the anna university coimbatore. So students of cut off marks 170 to 150 marks. Management seats are also available. Presently admission going for lateral entry students.


The Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET) was established by Akshaya Charitable Trust in the year 2009. The Trust has been founded by professionals having 25+ years experience in industry, and a renowned professor, Dr. K. Thanushkodi, Syndicate member of Anna University, Coimbatore having more than 35 years of teaching, research and administrative experience in various Government and Self- financing Engineering colleges. The trust aims at imparting high quality education, with strong ethics to its students and craft them into global professionals, ready to adapt to changing environments and face new challenges. The institution is headed by a well known professor, Dr. K. Sankaranarayanan, having more than 30 years of Teaching, Research and Administrative experience in various Government Engineering colleges.


Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology, endeavors to impart high quality and competency based Technical Education in Engineering and Technology to the younger generation with the required skills and the abilities to face the challenging needs of the industry around the globe. This institute is also striving hard to attain a unique status in the international level by means of infrastructures, state-of-the-art computing facilities and techniques.

Mechanical Engineering
You may ask me why i have chosen this particular department so to say this is the famous department over here. I suggest students to take mechanical nothing else course here . The cut off marks for this department is around 165.5 to 150.

The Department was started in the year 2009, offering four year B.E. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with an initial intake of 60 students. This unique course is specially designed and meticulously structured with latest innovative technologies in the field of industrial and manufacturing engineering to make the student, a highly skilled professional.

Greater exposure to the advancements in computers and computer controlled manufacturing machines and measurement systems are given in pursuit of latest and new developments in the industry. The Department offers B.E. Degree (full time) in Mechanical Engineering.

“ The department of mechanical engineering functions with the prime goal of imparting sound and proper mix of theory and practical courses in the fundamentals and recent technological developments of mechanical engineering and allied disciplines to the students so that the students, on completion of the course, get good opportunities in industries and higher education. The other objectives of the department are: promotion of research and development activities, providing consultancy services to the Industries and Conducting continuing education programs."

Central Library

The central library is stacked with more than 5000 volumes and 1250 titles, covering a range of text books and reference books. The library has modern software and maintains Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) to help easily locate the required books. The library also has a digital library section to enable the students and faculty to have access to online materials. Various national and international journals and periodicals are available under each faculty. A large number of CDs, DVDs and audio visual resources are also available.


Hostel

Akshaya Hostels – A Home Away from Home

Separate hostels available for Boys and Girls inside the campus, with well furnished and spacious rooms. The hostels have excellent water facility, modern kitchen and dining. The students are provided with the choice of vegetarian and non vegetarian food. The rooms are furnished with individual cots, tables, chairs, and bureau. Importance is given in maintaining discipline and security of the students. The resident warden of each hostel takes care to see that all the needs of the students are met and a homely atmosphere with a sense of security is created. Immediate medical care is given to hostel students on requirement.
