The admission procedure is dependent on both the government quota that is through CET seats and also through management quota. Now admission is going on.I suggest the viewers that they can study ECE course and EEE course in this college to be well versed in future. You may have doubt why i am saying like this, because this college is famous for these two department .
The candidate shall have secured a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (40% marks in case of SC/ST candidates) in three subjects of Physics, Mathematics and any one of the following subjects namely, Chemistry, Biology, Bio-technology, Computer Science, Electronics and shall have completed PUC, 10 + 2, or its equivalent with English as one of the languages.
FOR MBA
3 years Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any recognized University with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks in case of SC/ST candidates) of all subjects, including languages.
FOR MCA
Eligibility for admission to MCA is a pass in any degree of minimum 3 years duration in ay discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in all the years of degree examination (45% of marks in case of SC/ST candidates) including languages. Must have studied Mathematics/Business Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Computer Application/Computer Programming as one of the Optional/Electives Subjects. Provided further that in respect of candidates who have passed one of the subjects specified above in the P.U.C. course with 50% of Marks in that subject shall also be considered for admission.
FOR M.Tech.
Eligibility for admission to M.Tech. is a pass in qualifying examinations (specified below) With not less than 50 % marks in aggregate of all the semester / years of degree examinations. In the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST and cat. I, marks shall not be less than 45 %.

In the academic year 2003, the Department of Biotechnology made its debut in the Oxford College of Engineering, a most prestigious Institution in the BT hub, affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
The Department of Biotechnology gained accreditation status fromNational Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi, in the year 2009. Initially the students’ intake was 30 and increased to 60 since the academic year 2008. The department is successfully running a Research and Development Centre approved by VTU since the year 2008. Under this program, several innovative projects are being carried out. Dedicated senior faculty members with sound industry and academic background are guiding the students to mold them as budding scientists.
The department constantly seeks to provide a responsive learning environment and creative thinking that enables the students to achieve their highest level of proficiency in their academic career and a better employment in the diverse areas of most rapidly expanding BT industry. To achieve this vision, the mission has been designed carefully to provide students, both theoretical knowledge and practical hands on skills in the most demanding fields of BT.
Industry-academia interaction is given a prime importance. The guest lectures by eminent scientists and industrial visits are constantly been organized. Several State level and National levelseminars and conferences have been organized. To strengthen the hands on experience, technical workshops are conducted during every semester as value added programs.
Keeping in mind the all round growth of the students, the academic curriculum is well balanced with extra and co curricular activities. Innovative ideas of staff and students have reflected in winning several laurels to the Institute. The academic performance report of the ward is sent to the parents/guardians by post at the end of every month. Students having academic problems are counseled regularly by the experienced faculty and extra coaching classes are given to the weaker students which enable them to perform better in the examinations.

Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) is a swiftly advancing field, with new ideas emerging every other second. With technology becoming all pervasive in everyday life, opportunities for electronic engineers are endless. The ECE department at The Oxford College of Engineering prepares students for careers in this constantly evolving discipline.
Equipped with the most advanced labs, this institution cultivates young minds & provides them the appropriate launching pads to grow and excel in the technical world. The department offers Bachelor of Engineering programme in Electronics & Communication Engineering, affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).
The faculty is well motivated and takes personal care of the students and counsels them at regular intervals. They also inform the parents / guardians about the progress of their ward regularly. Every 20 students are mentored by an experienced faculty member. Academic monitoring committee chaired by one of the senior faculty member meets once in a fortnight to review the academic progress of each section and see to that the class work progresses smoothly as per the academic calendar of the department. Extra tutorial classes are conducted to take more personal care of the students. This helps the students in preparing for the semester end examinations and also aids in facing the competitive exams and interviews confidently. Also, English Communication Skills Lab is conducted as a part of their academic curriculum.
The department has well equipped state of art laboratories in Analog Electronics, Digital Electronics, Power Electronics, Computer Networks, DSP, VHDL, VLSI, Analog/Digital Communication and Advanced Communication. The department was granted the NBA –Accredited status with effect from 09.05.2009.
The department is headed by Dr. Nagaraj. R, a doctorate from VTU in Aerospace Electronics. He has vast academic and research background. He has executed a number of research projects for DRDO and other government agencies.
The department successfully organized a National Conference on “Emerging trends in Control, Communication, Signal Processing & VLSI Techniques – CCSV-09” on 21st and 22nd of April, 2009.

yup.. The above comment is right!! I'm currently in this stupid coll! No major placement assistance.. Oly off campus interviews... :/ campus sucks.. Teachers good only in few departments:) search for better options:)
